Why do I need BIM?
Building Information Modelling is now a mandatory requirement in Singapore for all government projects above 5000 square meters. Currently, there is a shortage of skilled personnel capable of handling large government projects in BIM.
What is the Advantage of Outsourcing BIM?
It is expensive to hire full-time personnel for projects that last anywhere less than 3 years. Your company would likely have to cover the cost of employing and training new personnel : from employee benefits to employee pay.
It is much more effective to outsource your BIM works to a provider that can fulfill BCA’s BIM e-submission guidelines as well as according to CP83 standards.
In addition, with a huge team of engineers behind our back (over 200 as of 2019), we will be able to co-ordinate your BIM standards by supporting you with an entire team of modellers.
Question: Should I use On-site or Off-site BIM services?
Our on-site support is frequently used by savvy project managers meeting time and resource crunches. With AcePLP’s engineers, you can focus on maintaining a lean project team and scale up/down your team depending on your project requirements at any time.
On-site support is the preferred option for projects that require plenty of coordination and communication with the drafting and modelling team. An AcePLP manager will work with you to match CAD/BIM engineers with the right skills and qualities to your team.
On the other hand, off-site support is recommended for simpler, standalone projects that do not require much input from your in-house project team. These projects will be completed at AcePLP’s premises.
You should ideally have specific instructions on how the job should be performed, so you can sit back, relax, and let us manage your project.
What Software is required in BIM?
AcePLP currently provides services in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, AECOsim, PowerRail Track and OpenPlant. However, we are also constantly exploring new software such as ArchiCAD to integrate into our training programme. These software are typically used in BIM projects.
